brand new App-enabled control: The Sphero R2-D2 connects to a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. While the original app is discontinued, the droid can still be controlled through the Sphero Edu app, which also allows users to program its movements. Authentic movement: The droid can be driven via the app, and it can switch between its two-legged bipod stance and its iconic three-legged waddling movement by retracting its front leg. Movie reactions: The "Watch With Me" feature allows the droid to react to films from the Star Wars saga as you watch. Holographic simulation: The companion app includes augmented reality (AR) features that allow you to explore holographic environments, like the interior of the Millennium Falcon. Interactive experience: The R2-D2 can interact and react with other compatible Sphero Star Wars droids, such as the BB-8 and BB-9E. Integrated lights and speaker: The droid has fully functional signature LED lights and an integrated speaker that produces authentic R2-D2 beeps and boops.
