Pakeman Catto & Carter Prince of Wales Check Navy/Charcoal Wool Suit 44”L 38”

For sale is a wonderful suit by the famous Pakeman Catto & Carter. PC&C operated from their shop in Cirencester but have now unfortunately ceased trading. They made some exceptional clothing for country and city folk. This is a wonderful suit that’s made from 100% wool, a mid weight cloth that is a good mix of charcoal and navy in a prince of wales check weave. It has a subtle and very faint red windowpane check. The jacket features a two button front close, with four button cuffs. It has straight flapped and jetted pockets with matching right side ticket pocket. It has a nice width and shape lapel with a functional button hole and a beautiful fabric turnback detail under the collar. Inside it has two breast pockets one of each side, along with a cigarette pocket on the left. The back is plain with side vents. The trousers are an excellent cut, with single inward facing pleats on the front. They have side adjusters and buttons for braces should you wish. The hem is finished with a 1.5” turnup. Slanted hand pockets with one left side seat pocket. The jacket is a 44” Long, but please review the below measurements for the jacket and the trousers and compare to a suit you have already that fits well. Jacket: Pit2pit- 23” Waist 6” below pit- 22” Sleeve length from shoulder roll to cuff- 26” Back length from neck seam to hem- 31.5” Trousers: Waist when flat- 19.75” Inside leg seam- 31.5” Width at hem- 8.5” Depth of turnup- 1.5” The trousers unfortunately have a couple of small holes in. One on the front left side, the other at the top of the inside leg near the crotch seam. These can easily be darned up by an alterations specialist.
