This is a small item holder made of cow horn that I purchased at the hotel shop when I went to India.
It was a bit expensive, but I was attracted to the design and craftsmanship.
It is made by carving method after layering multiple layers. The decorative flower on the lid is also a charming piece. Although it is said to be old, it is clean and there are no chips.
I had incense inside, and the wooden interior gives off a nice scent.
On online shopping site a, items of different designs are being sold as camel bone for a high price, but the off-white ones are probably made of the same material. If you are interested, please try searching for it.
(The camel bone is darker in color)
